Barry Brown has been associated in the entertainment business for more than 40 years. He has booked talent throughout the country.

 
He started at the age of 16 and in 1967 he managed a group called “Teddy & The Pandas” which had a number 1 hit in Boston, Massachusetts. He later represented a group called “Orpheus” which recorded a song called “Can’t Find the Time to Tell You” which received national attention by going to the top of the pop charts.

In the same year, Barry worked for “TBC” Talent Booking Corporation out of Boston, which handled acts for major venues in the eastern region of the country such as;

·        James Brown

·        Al Green

·        The Whispers

·        The Dells

·        B.B. King

·        Frankie Valli

·        The Temptations

to name a few.

He represented “The Swinger” at the Marco Polo Hotel in Miami Beach, Florida handling their entertainment in conjunction with Rudy Guarino.
While in Florida, Barry was hired by The Agency to represent The Big Daddy’s chain of lounges and stores throughout Florida and Texas with Sheila Witkin, who managed a top rock band called “Tight Squeeze”.

In 1982, Barry and Rudy Guarino went to Las Vegas to become an entertainment director of the Sahara Hotel. By way of Philadelphia Barry brought into Las Vegas “Cookie Jar and The Crumbs” who have been there ever since, and been voted the Number One Lounge Act in Las Vegas for the past twenty years.

The first act Barry brought to The Sahara hotel was Peaches and Herb for a 2-week engagement that lasted 10 weeks. The first act in the main room was George Burns, followed by Roy Orbison who played his last date in Las Vegas;

later followed, and the lists go on and on.

When Barry returned to New York, Jimmy Evans who handled Johnny Maestro and The Brooklyn Bridge, Wilson Pickett and many others hired him.

He also created a group called The Royal All-Stars consisting of five major singing groups.

While managing acts, Barry has also promoted shows with radio stations, corporate events, theaters, festivals and institutions, such as Madison Square Garden and the 25th Anniversary Show with WCBS Radio at the Huntington Town House at Huntington, N.Y.

Barry worked with LCR Productions and IPE, Inc. (International Planning and Entertainment Corporation) working with the Hyatt Cerromar Beach Hotel in Dorado Beach, Puerto Rico in conjunction with Mickey B for 4 years, Proctors Theater in Schenectady, The Patchogue Theater for the Performing Arts, Sports Plus Events Centers, the Marriott Hotels and Hofstra University.

 Barry has worked with many Charities doing fund raisers, personal planning, promotions; such as Chanukah Telethon, “Have a Heart” Children’s Cancer Society, ACDS Associations with Children with Down syndrome just to name a few.

Barry is the owner and CEO of BB Star Productions, which specializes in marketing and Advertising, Media TV, and Radio, talent and entertainment.
